From the beginning
Famed for their lightweight construction and easy towing capabilities, Freedom Caravans are popular with less-abled and single caravanners who want a manageable rig that is easy to tow.
Model updates
The firm has a reputation for listening to it consumers requirements; in response to customer requests the Freedom team re-introduced the Microlite Discovery “LE” in September 2009. With an unladen weight of 580kg, this is one of the lightest caravans on the market.
Upgrades to the 2010 range saw new models being built with the door on the UK side for the first time. Freedom also brought out an updated version of their Jetstream caravan in the form of the twin single bed configuration in the ‘Jetstream Twin Sport’.
What’s inside?
Marketed as some of the lightest products on the market, Freedom caravans have simple, weight saving interiors. The ‘vans are equipped with the basics such as 2 burner hob, 240v mains electric, a hot water system and a cassette toilet for simple, affordable caravanning.
The current line up from Freedom includes three 2-berth models and one 3 berth tourer – all with MTPLM weights of 750kg or under:
